Ecology
Grows at Low to middle elevations.
Commonly found in: Wet, open places. Stream sides, edges of moist woods, coastal marshes, meadows, by lakes and streams.
Uses
CAUTION: May be toxic if not handled and prepared properly.

- Used as a purgative and laxative.
- Astringent, emetic, and diuretic.
- Used on sores, burns, swellings, cuts and lesions.
