Food and Medicinal Uses:

Most parts are edible, but the seeds in the rose hips can irritate the digestive tract.

Qá:lq (hips) can be eaten raw or dried, and make good tea. Leaves and roots also dried for tea.

High in vitamins A, B, C, E, and K.

Medicine for diarrhea and stomach upset. Also eyewash. Hot compresses reduce swelling. Treats tonsilitis and sore throat.

Chewed leaves can be applied to reduce the swelling and pain of bee stings.
