Food and Medicinal Uses:
Leaves and flowers foam when rubbed with water, and used as soap and shampoo. Medicine for dandruff.
Used for many other medicines, including diarrhea.
Made into a wash for eczema and hemorrhoids.
Other Uses:
Wood is extremely hard and strong, and was used for implements such as netting shuttles, combs, cooking sticks, knitting needles, and needles for making bulrush mats.
CAUTION: Berries are poisonous.
